Namaingo Caves, Kilwa

The Namaingo caves are interesting to visit for their network of organic corridors leading to different rooms, rivers and water reservoirs. The cave is sometimes used as well in the dry season. Some caves house important colonies of bats and should not be visited to avoid disturbing them.

Location and Access

The caves are located in Namaingo village, which is 12 km away from Kipatimu. Locating the place without a guide is not possible because the cave mouths are hidden in thick bushes.
